Presenter Profile: Daniel Lynch

Dan Lynch is a technology marketing consultant and professional genealogist based in Connecticut. With more than 25 years in technology marketing and 30 years as a genealogist, Dan is well versed in a broad variety of genealogy topics with a particular strength in the application of technology for the pursuit of family history. Dan served as vice president of Ancestry.com from 1998 – 2001 and has also served as a consultant for The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation (NYC), FindMyPast (London) and other organizations in the genealogy sector.

Dan is a life member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and the Connecticut Society of Genealogists (CSG). Many of his articles have been published in leading family history publications and his book, Google Your Family Tree, won a 2009 literary award as best genealogy reference. A skilled and popular presenter for more than a decade, Dan participates in scores of genealogy conferences and local meetings annually. He has been featured on local and national television news programs, including ABCs popular Good Morning America show.

Daniel is teaching in the ICAPGen track on Saturday morning. His classes "Google Your Family Tree: Unlock the Hidden Power of Google" Parts 1 and 2 are at 8:00 am and 9:30 am respectively.
